While I have been known to keep what I cannot justify, given enough time, in the end I can find purpose.

My 1976 Camaro is one of them. She was always faithful to me. In a bad case scenario, I could use something as simple as a coat wire hanger to do the trick. She ran many years with little more than prayer and gas. Once a pencil did the trick, finding the right space for the butterfly on the carborator. In the end, as I finally converted into a bigger vehicle to meet the family needs, she set up and waited. This had happened before, and she always started when I needed a back up car, but things changed and neglect was setting in.

In the meantime, I was looking for a resource to address the changes in our household, namely a way to add an attic loft to our home. Bartering was the answer. A young guy with some carpentry skills and a desire for the Camaro appeared on the scene, and let's just say we have a large attic room, and he has the car.

He promised to restore her to her original beauty, but I suspect she ended up in the racing lifestyle. Not too long afterwards, I found a Camaro on craigslist.com. Same year, same area, but beyond recognition, all souped up. I have no doubt though, she had some lookers.

I am glad for the trade and opportunity, and especially the value of an extra living area. Mostly I am glad that our society has found value in trade once again, along with thae fact, that new is not always necessary.
